Ever since I was a little girl I loved taking pictures. I would always steal my mom’s phone and take ‘beautiful’ pictures that were mainly closeups of our rug or the cats. She eventually bought me my own Fisher-Price camera so I would stop taking her phone. It has two viewfinders that are bright lime green and the rest of the camera is pink with lots of flowers on it.

Originally, I wanted to use this camera for my this project since it ties directly into my roots of photography. However, it doesn’t work anymore. I bought a disposable camera from Wal-Mart since I would always beg for disposable cameras to take pictures.
I decided to go back to the first type of photography I started with, which is nature photography. I loved taking pictures of flowers and trying to get the details in the petals.

While I was editing the photographs, I wanted them to feel dreamy. I added a warm filter and also made them more magenta then they naturally are. I feel by adding this effect, it pulls the viewer in more and makes them look at the photographs longer than they originally would have.
